Coach Patrick Borja has steered GLA Team A to 3–0 by showing tactical elasticity rather than relying on a single formula. The Knights have outscored opponents 238–176, producing a league-best 79.3 points per game and a commanding +62 differential.
Against HCA Team A, GLA trailed 22–19 after the opening quarter. Borja’s group recalibrated the contest through the middle periods, winning them 38–23 and unleashing a decisive 16–0 run. Eleven players scored, while 14 steals and balanced half-court production turned an early deficit into a controlled 71–60 victory. Against Sacred Heart, Borja widened the pressure envelope. GLA forced 35 turnovers, collected 27 steals and generated 40 points in the paint. The Knights led 48–17 at halftime, never surrendered control and stretched the margin to 39 in a 78–41 dismantling.
Twelve players scored—a reflection of rotation depth and role clarity. SVI presented a different problem, shooting 58% from the field. Borja answered by changing the terms of engagement. GLA attacked the interior for 58 paint points, converted 32 of 48 two-point attempts, attempted 28 free throws and forced 24 turnovers. The result was an 89–75 win built on rim pressure, foul leverage and possession creation—not perimeter dependence.
Across three games, GLA has accumulated 65 steals and forced 73 opponent turnovers. Yet the strongest evidence of Borja’s system may be its plurality of solutions: John David Bolotaulo, James Dave Digal and Christian Mike Agua earned Player of the Game honors in successive victories.
That is the signature of scalable coaching. Different matchups. Different pressure points. Different players empowered to decide the game. Borja’s Knights are not merely unbeaten.
